Collection: Shaggy Collection

The shaggy foot or loose foot cigars are known in Cuba as "Escoba" meaning broom. They were first produced in Cuba in the early 1920s, when the country was experiencing a major economic boom and many cigar brands and entrepreneurs from all over the world flocked to Cuba during this era introducing machine-made or short filler cigars. Local farmers and factory managers had to adapt to the changes in the cigar market and created a cigar that proved to the consumer that it was made with long filler tobacco. They decided to leave the foot of the cigars unwrapped or unfinished, giving birth to the Shaggy and its distinctive appearance and layer of complexity to the blend.
Shaggy cigars present a whole new flavor to your palate, start off with tasting just the filler tobacco and as the cigar burns down, all three components start to burn in unison.
